Digital TestDaF Writing: Summarising Text and Chart

Summarising information from a reading text and a chart is the second official digital TestDaF writing task; it combines two sources.
A way to approach it
Find the question’s focus first. Select the text’s central claim and the chart’s main trend or contrast, then connect them in your own words.
Final check
Do not invent a cause that the chart cannot show; recheck units and groups when reporting figures.
Practise with the official sample
Try the TestDaF-Institut sample before reading its explanation. Compare your answers with the key and, where available, the transcript. Record why each mistake occurred and rehearse with a timer because the digital test does not let you return to a previous task.
