Giving advice is one of seven official digital TestDaF speaking tasks; the response to a situation is recorded on a computer.
A way to approach it
Identify the person’s goal and constraint. Structure your answer as a suggestion, a reason and a practical next step.
Final check
Avoid generic advice: explain why it fits this person and rehearse within the recorded time.
Practise with the official sample
Try the TestDaF-Institut sample before reading its explanation. Compare your answers with the key and, where available, the transcript. Record why each mistake occurred and rehearse with a timer because the digital test does not let you return to a previous task.
