Goethe A1 has no separate grammar module. Grammar is assessed inside reading, listening, writing and speaking tasks, so you need to use these 12 structures correctly in short communicative sentences rather than memorise rules in isolation.

Interpret your score

• 27–30 correct: Your foundations are strong; move to productive exam tasks.
• 22–26 correct: Good start; target the two weakest topics.
• 16–21 correct: Rebuild the rules through short example sentences.
• 0–15 correct: Return first to Präsens, questions, articles and word order.

Frequent exam mistakes

• Leaving the verb out of position two: use Heute arbeite ich.
• Not placing the main infinitive at the end after a modal verb.
• Mixing up kein and nicht: kein Auto, but nicht geöffnet.
• Confusing um for clock time, am for days and im for months.
• Learning nouns without articles and missing einen in the accusative.
