How to Find a telc B1 Examination Centre and Register

You register for telc B1 through a licensed examination centre, not telc's head office. Each centre may set its registration conditions, deadline, price and available examination format.
How to identify the correct centre
Search telc's official Prüfungszentrum directory by country, city and exam. Confirm that the centre offers Zertifikat Deutsch / telc Deutsch B1 specifically, not merely some telc examination.
DTZ A2–B1, telc Deutsch A2·B1, Deutsch-Test für den Beruf B1 and telc Deutsch B1 are different exams. Check the exact name on your booking confirmation.
Eight questions to ask
- Is the exact exam telc Deutsch B1?
- Is it paper-based, hybrid or digital?
- When are written and oral parts held?
- What is the total fee and cancellation policy?
- What is the candidate deadline?
- Which photo ID is accepted?
- Are partial exams and result transfers offered?
- How will results and the certificate be delivered?
Why dates and fees vary
telc's regulations allow centres to set registration requirements, final prices and other conditions. telc therefore does not publish one general examination fee.
Centres may schedule regular dates or offer exams on request. telc requires 14 days for the centre's registration, but capacity and internal processing can make the candidate deadline much earlier.
Get written confirmation before paying
Keep the exact exam name, dates, format, fee and refund conditions in an email or booking document. If written and oral are on different days, no more than seven days may separate them.
Disclose an accessibility request or partial-result transfer before paying because these may require different deadlines and evidence.
