The telc B2 handbook states that the vocabulary and grammar inventory defined for B1 is a minimum requirement at B2 and that no additional list was deliberately published. Grammar is still scored directly: 10 items in Sprachbausteine part 1 and the accuracy criterion in Writing and Speaking.

Priority structures at B2
- Formal letter language: polite requests with Konjunktiv II (Ich wäre Ihnen dankbar, wenn …).
- Passive and passive alternatives (lässt sich …, ist zu …).
- Nominal style: aufgrund der Verspätung, nach Erhalt Ihrer E-Mail.
- Genitive prepositions and paired conjunctions.
- Participles as adjectives (die geplante Reise, das fehlende Teil).
- Relative clauses to add detail (dessen, deren, wobei).
How to study
- Classify your Sprachbausteine part 1 errors by the areas above.
- Use each problem structure deliberately three times in a Writing text.
- Remember that part 2 tests vocabulary, not grammar; practise collocations there.
- The handbook treats the B1 inventory as the minimum, so close any gaps in basic structures first.
