In telc Deutsch B2 Writing, you choose one of two prompts and normally produce a semi-formal request for information or complaint in 30 minutes. Treat these phrases as adaptable building blocks, not a memorised answer.
Opening, context and purpose

Closing and a 30-minute workflow
- Spend 3–4 minutes choosing the prompt and marking the situation, recipient and three points.
- Use about 22 minutes for subject line, salutation, opening, three content paragraphs and closing.
- Check verb position, connectors, capitals, salutation and sign-off.
- Useful endings: Ich freue mich auf Ihre Rückmeldung or Vielen Dank im Voraus, followed by Mit freundlichen Grüßen.
A phrase helps only when it serves the task. Unrelated memorised sentences do not replace a required content point.
