The finite verb is the spine of an A1 sentence: second in statements, first in yes/no questions; an infinitive or separable prefix moves to the end.

Mistakes

  • Keeping the subject before the verb after a time phrase.
  • Leaving the verb second in yes/no questions.
  • Conjugating the main verb after a modal.
  • Dropping the separable prefix.
