Most lost points in Goethe B1 come not from grammar but from misapplying task rules. The official model exam and assessment criteria show clearly where these mistakes turn into lost points.
Reading and Listening mistakes
- Forcing an ad onto every situation in Reading part 3: one answer is 0 and each ad is used once.
- In Reading part 4 you need the person’s stance (yes/no), not the topic.
- Waiting for a second hearing in Listening parts 2 and 3.
- Leaving answer transfer to the end without reserving the roughly 5 minutes.
Writing mistakes
