Goethe B1 Writing Task 1: Email to a Friend

The official model’s first writing task is a personal email of about 80 words covering three content points, with 20 minutes suggested.
A way to approach it
After the greeting and opening, answer each point in one or two sentences. Close appropriately and make your suggestion clear.
Final check
Do not spend all your space on one point; check all three points and the email structure in your final read.
Practise with the official sample
Take the relevant part of the Goethe-Institut adult model set to its official time. Use the key for Reading and Listening and the published criteria for Writing and Speaking. In your next attempt, measure whether the same error recurs.
