Goethe-Zertifikat B2 consists of four independent modules. They can be taken separately or together, so preparation should target four distinct performances rather than one combined total.

Exam sequence
- When all modules are taken together, the written modules normally precede Speaking.
- About five minutes for transferring Reading and Listening answers is included in each module time.

- Part 2 requires reacting to a partner's arguments and summarising the outcome.
