telc Deutsch B2 is worth 300 points with two separate thresholds: at least 135 of 225 in the written exam and at least 45 of 75 in the oral exam. A strong written result does not make up for a weak oral one; you need 60% in each part.

How Writing and Speaking are marked
- Writing uses three criteria: task management, communicative design and accuracy. Each is A=5, B=3, C=1, D=0; the sum is multiplied by 3 (max 45).
- Raters expect at least three guiding points, or two plus one aspect of your own.
- Speaking is assessed on range of expression, task management, accuracy, and pronunciation and intonation.
- The oral exam is in pairs: 20 minutes’ preparation, about 15–16 minutes’ exam.
