A problem during the TestDaF sitting and a request to recheck a published score are separate procedures. Choosing the wrong process or missing its deadline can put the request at risk.
Which procedure?
| Situation | Procedure | Deadline |
|---|---|---|
| Technical, organisational or fairness problem | Complaint to the examination committee | 5 working days after the exam |
| Recheck a published score | Result review through the participant portal | 4 weeks after publication |
Review fees
| Scope | Fee |
|---|---|
| Processing + first section | €40 |
| Each extra section | €15 |
| All four sections | €85 |
Verified on 23 August 2026. Check the official FAQ again before applying; the fee is refunded if the review corrects the result.
Include in the request
- Exam date, name, participant number and test centre.
- For a complaint, when the event occurred and how it affected performance.
- For a review, the exact sections to be checked.
- Any concrete supporting record available.
