Writing in the digital TestDaF takes about 60 minutes and has two task types: an argumentative text on a debate question and a summary of information from a reading text and a graph. Texts are typed into a text field on the computer. The right phrases are the fastest way to build a clear structure in the time available.

Structure and checks
- State your position in the first paragraph; give each body paragraph one argument and one example.
- Always deal with the counter-argument and explain why it is weaker.
- In the graph summary, add no opinion of your own; compare the information in the text and the graph.
- Use the last 5 minutes to check word count, connectors and verb position.
