Last updated: 27 August 2026 · Verified against official sources

TGU YDYO’s FAQ requires attendance at a minimum of 80% of classes in each course. A student who does not meet it cannot take the end-of-course exam or progress to the next course.

How the 80% rule applies

The official wording applies the requirement to each course, not as one overall programme average. Track attendance course by course using the university’s records.

If the requirement is not met

  • No end-of-course exam.
  • No progression to the next course.
  • The same course is repeated until attendance is sufficient.
  • Confirm your individual record with YDYO.

Attendance and TestDaF preparation

Attendance is an administrative requirement; TestDaF success also requires work in all four skills. Plan consistent participation and individual practice together.
